NexYZ fits any eyepiece from 35 mm to 60 mm in diameter, including telescopes with 1.25” and 2” eyepieces, spotting scopes, and binoculars. NexYZ will also fit microscopes with an additional included adapter ring, which takes the usable diameter down to 25 mm for a standard microscope eyepiece. A strong spring and a threaded twist lock provide a two-level, firm and secure grip on the eyepiece of the optical instrument.
NexYZ also supports a wide range of smartphones. The phone platform is fully adjustable and can accommodate any device. Even larger devices, such as the iPhone 8 Plus and the latest Samsung Galaxy devices, fit perfectly. The secure platform easily withstands the weight of larger devices.
NexYZ's simple spring clamps make it easy to remove one eyepiece and replace it with another in seconds.
How does NexYZ differ from other smartphone adapters? Three-axis adjustment. Most adapters work by placing the phone on a platform and having limited adjustment in only two axes. NexYZ allows you to mount the phone on the platform, center it over the eyepiece using the X and Y knobs, and then slide it up or down over the eyepiece until you get the entire field of view in the picture.
Although this adjustment is very precise, it is even faster and easier than with other adapters. From start to finish, the process takes about 30 seconds, including the time it takes to insert the phone into NexYZ, attach NexYZ to the eyepiece, launch the camera app, and center the camera over the eyepiece using the knobs. If you change your phone, eyepieces, or optical instruments, you will only need minor adjustments to re-align the camera with the new eyepiece.
NOTE: NexYZ fits telescopes, binoculars, spotting scopes, and microscopes. It does not fit rifle scopes.
