The new Celestron TrailSeeker spotting scope offers very good optics and many functionalities known from higher models. The microfocuser near the focusing knob allows for precise focusing. The spotting scope also has an extendable sunshade which significantly increases the contrast of the image observed in bright light. The tripod mount of the TrailSeeker spotting scope is designed to allow the scope to rotate on its own axis within the mount, without the need to reposition the tripod. However, the most interesting feature is the interchangeable eyepieces - a huge range of high-quality, fixed-focal-length astronomical eyepieces in the 1.25-inch mounting standard becomes available to the TrailSeeker user.
It is worth using good optics with the new Celestron TrailSeeker spotting scope. It features excellent lenses and prisms fully coated with XLT layers, to ensure the highest light transmission and unrivaled contrast in this price segment. The spotting scope is filled with dry nitrogen, so it does not fog up internally and is completely resistant to harsh weather conditions.
The spotting scope with an 80 mm objective diameter provides more light after dark, as well as higher magnification and better resolution than the 65mm model. The spotting scope effortlessly achieves magnifications from 20 to 60x with good image quality and brightness. A large field of view at minimum magnification and high maximum magnification, alongside still small dimensions, make it a very versatile observation tool.
The angled version of the spotting scope has an eyepiece directed at a 45-degree angle to the scope's axis, making it excellent for observations from a tripod, as well as for observing objects located on the horizon (e.g., a ship at sea) or above it, such as mountains, office building windows, and astronomical objects.
