Trailseeker 65 Straight spotting scope

The new Celestron TrailSeeker spotting scope offers excellent optics and many features known from higher-end models. A micro-focuser at the focusing knob allows for precise focusing. The spotting scope also has a retractable sunshade which significantly increases the contrast of the observed image in bright light. The tripod mounting of the TrailSeeker spotting scope is designed to allow the scope to rotate within the mount around its own axis, without the need to readjust the tripod. However, the most interesting feature is the interchangeable eyepieces - the TrailSeeker user gains access to a vast array of high-quality, fixed-focal length astronomical eyepieces with a 1.25-inch mounting standard.

The straight-through version of the spotting scope has the eyepiece directed parallel to the scope's axis, making it excellent for observations from a supported hand, a windowsill, or a railing. This facilitates observing objects on the horizon (e.g., a ship at sea) or below it, such as in a valley or streets from an office building window.
