The Celestron Regal M2 spotting scope is the second generation of Celestron's flagship spotting scopes. Both day and night, the Regal M2 is optimized to achieve maximum sharp images. It is designed for birdwatching, nature observation, long-distance landscape observation, and simple astronomical observations.
Regal M2 series spotting scopes feature extra-low dispersion (ED) glass objectives, housed in sealed magnesium bodies, which have been reduced in weight by more than 14% compared to the previous version of Regals. Additionally, a new feature is the dual focus mechanism with coaxial coarse and micro-focus knobs to double the speed of focusing on the chosen target.
The Regal M2 is waterproof and nitrogen-filled, so it does not fog up internally. It differs from the previous version by its green, nature-inspired color, and it includes a carrying case.
One of the more interesting functionalities is the interchangeable eyepieces – opening up a vast array of high-quality, fixed-focal length astronomical eyepieces in the 1.25-inch mounting standard to the user.
