The Celestron Regal M2 spotting scope is the second generation of Celestron's flagship spotting scopes. Both day and night, the Regal M2 is optimized for maximum sharp images. It is designed for birdwatching, nature observation, long-distance landscape observation, and basic astronomical observations.
The Regal M2 series scopes feature extra-low dispersion (ED) glass objectives, housed in sealed magnesium bodies, whose weight has been reduced by more than 14% compared to the previous Regal version. Additionally, a new feature is the dual focusing mechanism with co-axial coarse and micro-focus knobs, designed to double the focusing speed on a chosen target.
The Regal M2 is waterproof and nitrogen-filled, so it won't fog up internally. It differs from the previous version by its green, nature-inspired color, and comes with a carrying case.
One of the more interesting features is the interchangeable eyepieces – opening up a vast array of high-quality, fixed-focal length astronomical eyepieces in the 1.25-inch mounting standard to the user.
