Like other binoculars in the series, this binocular uses roof prisms, making it lightweight and compact. We have crafted it aesthetically from high-quality materials.
The success and recognition garnered by earlier binocular models, the Forest II 8x42 and 10x42, convinced us that we had met our customers' expectations. The Delta Optical Forest II 8x42 model won second place in the "Product of the Year" 2011 poll on www.optyczne.pl in the "Binocular" category. We also received the "Owl from Rogów" award at the International Forest Fair in Rogów in 2011.
The Forest II 12x50 model was created for those who need high magnification for observations from a distance. However, the 12x magnification is sufficiently compact to allow for stable observations without the need for a tripod. Due to its smaller exit pupil diameter, this model performs better during daytime observations than at night.
All Forest II series binoculars are equipped with an optical system with 8 elements arranged in 6 groups and roof prisms made of BaK4 glass with phase correction. Their reflective surfaces are coated with silver, which guarantees image sharpness and brightness. Furthermore, all active lens surfaces feature multi-layered anti-reflective coatings (FMC type), which translates into excellent light transmission and neutral color reproduction. The internal surfaces of the tubes are well blackened, eliminating unwanted reflections and "ghosts."
All Forest II series binocular models feature a central focusing knob and individual diopter correction on the right eyepiece, ensuring easy adjustment. Adjustable rubber twist-up eyecups allow the binoculars to be adapted to the needs of every observer. They are also resistant to harsh weather conditions, as their housing is sealed and provides protection against moisture and rain. Forest II binoculars can withstand immersion in water up to 1 meter deep for 5 minutes. Additionally, nitrogen filling eliminates fogging of the optics inside the housing.
The new Forest II models are not only efficient but also exceptionally compact and lightweight. All Forest II binoculars with 50mm objectives have similar sizes and weigh less than 850g. This is an excellent compromise between 42mm class binoculars and larger, heavier models with 56-63mm objectives. With 50mm objectives, our new Forest II models offer various magnification levels to meet diverse observational needs.
