For those who have been eagerly awaiting improved Delta Optical Forest II series binoculars, we have good news: we have introduced three binoculars with large, 50 mm objective lenses. These are the 8.5x50, 10x50, and 12x50 models!
Of course, like other models in the series, they utilize roof prisms in their optical design, making them small and lightweight. And since small is beautiful, we have designed them aesthetically and with good quality materials.
The success and popularity of previous binocular models: Forest II 8x42 and 10x42, confirmed that with this series, we met customer needs. The Forest II 8x42 model took second place in the industry portal www.optyczne.pl's "Product of the Year" 2011 poll in the "Binoculars" category. The second award was the "Sowa z Rogowa" (Owl from Rogowo) in the competition for the best product presented at the International Forestry Fair in Rogowo in 2011.
The Forest II 10x50 model is a binocular with classic parameters, favored by a wide range of nature observers. Its universal features allow for comfortable observations both day and night. These binoculars strike a balance between achieving high magnification and a wide field of view. At the same time, they provide high surface brightness.
Throughout the entire Delta Optical Forest II series, the optical system of the binoculars consists of 8 elements arranged in 6 groups, and in the construction, we used high-quality roof prisms made of BaK4 glass with phase correction, whose reflective surfaces are coated with silver, ensuring an extremely sharp and bright image. Additionally, in the Forest II models, all active optical surfaces of the lenses are covered with high-quality multi-layer FMC anti-reflective coatings. Thanks to them, the binoculars are characterized by high light transmission and neutral color reproduction. Well-blackened interiors of the tubes prevent unwanted reflections and "ghosts" from appearing in the image.
All Forest II series binoculars have a smoothly moving central focusing knob and individual diopter correction in the right eyepiece. Rubber, adjustable twist-up eyecups extend, allowing for comfortable adjustment of the eyepieces to the observer's individual needs. Forest II series binoculars will withstand even the toughest weather conditions. Their sealed housing allows for free use in damp terrain, and even in the rain. Forest II binoculars can withstand immersion in water for 5 minutes, to a depth of 1 m, and the nitrogen filling of the construction prevents fogging of the optics inside the housing.
Huge advantages of the new models are their compactness and low weight. All Forest II binoculars with 50 mm objective lenses have the same dimensions of 165x133x60 mm and a curb weight not exceeding 850 g. They thus represent an ideal compromise between small binoculars of the 42 mm objective class and much larger and heavier models with 56-63 mm objective lenses. Thanks to the great versatility offered by the 50 mm objective, the new Forest II models have been differentiated in terms of magnification so that the appropriate value of this parameter can be chosen to suit individual needs.
