The powerful wide-angle binoculars Delta Optical Extreme 10.5x70 ED, with an unusual 10.5x magnification, are made of solid materials and utilize ED glass with very low dispersion. A first glance at the parameters reveals that the exit pupil of this model reaches almost 7 mm, and this happens with a magnification of 10.5x.
This is an exceptionally bright piece of equipment, collecting a large amount of light. Unlike many binoculars of this type, we are dealing with a very solid construction, made entirely of metal, capable of withstanding many years of use in harsh conditions. As shock-resistant equipment, it will even endure minor impacts and falls. Therefore, you can take it to the other side of the world without fear, as with such a construction, the binoculars should not be damaged during air transport.
Equipped with powerful 70 mm diameter objectives, made of ED glass with very low dispersion, and huge prisms, it transmits a lot of light to the observer's eye. At 10.5x magnification, the resulting brightness is so extremely high that it is difficult to find binoculars on the market that, at this magnification, will provide such a bright image. Due to their significant size, it is recommended to observe with Extreme 10.5x70 ED binoculars from a tripod. All lenses of this model are coated with multi-layer FMC anti-reflective coatings.
These binoculars are typically used for two purposes. Firstly, they are suitable for observing dimly lit terrain as stationary equipment. This capability will be eagerly utilized by naturalists who often conduct observations at dawn, dusk, or even on moonlit nights, when very good image detail is needed. The second, equally important application of the Extreme 10.5x70 ED binoculars is astronomical observation of diffuse objects under a very dark sky. There is probably no better binocular for observing the large subtle structures of the Milky Way, bright nebulae, or extensive objects such as the M31 galaxy in Andromeda. This is an outstanding piece of equipment for observing comets, providing a wide field of view, a large reach, and high brightness for surface objects such as comet tails. These binoculars will perform excellently under an extremely dark sky, far from city lights. For slightly more light pollution, we recommend another large model from the Extreme ED series – the Extreme 15x70 ED.
The Extreme 10.5x70 ED model is very resistant to temperature differences and can be used in a wide temperature range from -40° to +70 °C.
All Delta Optical Extreme ED models feature a separate external focusing system for each eyepiece. The comfortable eyecups fit perfectly into the eye sockets, eliminating external light interference. The binocular eyepieces also have built-in filter threads with a diameter of 1.25", allowing the use of nebula or polarizing filters. Thanks to these features, Delta Optical Extreme ED binoculars are an excellent choice for anyone who values exceptional image quality and reliability.
