The Celestron SkyMaster 15x70 binoculars feature very large aperture and high-quality optics, ensuring, among other things, thanks to BaK4 glass prisms, a sharp image even at the edge of the field of view. It is ideal for both astronomical and nature or tourist observations, especially at long distances. The lenses of these binoculars are covered with multi-layered MC anti-reflective coatings.
Celestron created the SkyMaster series of binoculars with large objective diameters especially for terrestrial and astronomical observations conducted in low light conditions and at long distances.
The SkyMaster 15x70 binoculars are one of the most popular models in the series. They offer a large objective aperture with the smallest possible dimensions and weight. This model is a twin to the SkyMaster 25x70 model, characterized by a slightly lower magnification but a wider field of view. The binoculars have a ¼" tripod adapter.
For astronomical observations, we recommend mounting the binoculars on a photographic tripod. This will provide a stable image. The binoculars allow you to observe all objects from the Messier catalog, many asterisms, such as the Coathanger in Vulpecula. Through these binoculars, you can easily see the phase of Venus, Jupiter's Galilean moons, the outline of Saturn's ring, and also the most distant planets of the Solar System - Uranus and Neptune.
The Celestron 15x70 binoculars are also often used by aircraft spotters observing planes at cruising altitudes.
