The Alfatronix PV 24S is a DC-DC converter designed to power 12 V communication equipment in vehicles with 24 V systems. It steps the voltage down to 13.6 V DC at a continuous current of 24 A (30 A intermittent), has E-mark approval for vehicle installation and a sealed, fanless IP53 aluminium housing. This is the non-isolated version with a common ground – for typical negative-chassis installations.

Protection and approval
S or I version? The S version has a common input and output ground – sufficient for most 12 V loads. For two-way radios and interference-sensitive equipment, the galvanically isolated version is better: PV 24I. Choosing the power: 25 W radio – PV 12, High Power (45–50 W) – PV 18 or PV 24.
