Ultima 80 Spotting Scope

Celestron's most popular spotting scope series - Ultima, are high-quality and economical spotting scopes with variable magnification (zoom), available in three sizes and in straight and angled versions. At the heart of every Ultima scope is an achromatic objective lens with multi-layered anti-reflective coatings, which delivers a clear, bright, and sharp image with high contrast.

The eyepiece used in Celestron Ultima scopes allows for smooth adjustment of the scope's magnification (zoom) over a wide range, which enables Ultima scopes to view both expansive landscapes and focus on specific elements, such as animals, birds, architectural elements, or people.

Celestron Ultima straight scopes are excellent for observations from a balcony or terrace, or during field observations, e.g., the other side of a lake. Angled scopes, on the other hand, can be used for virtually any application, and can even be pointed towards the sky, allowing you to observe the Moon, planets, or brighter objects such as nebulae and star clusters, especially the 100mm diameter model, which gathers a lot of light and is therefore best suited for typical night observations. The Ultima 65, however, is a very compact optical instrument that you can take literally anywhere, e.g., in a backpack for a mountain hike or bike trip. The 80mm objective scopes are the most versatile, commonly used for observing nature or airplanes.

The Ultima 80 scope offers variable magnification (zoom) from 20 to 60x. A carrying case is included. It can be connected to an SLR camera. The Ultima 80 mm, with a slightly larger objective lens than the Ultima 65 mm model, offers 50% brighter images than the smaller model!
