Alfatronix AD BBB is a backup power module for Alfatronix AD series desktop power supplies – with a built-in 12 V / 7 Ah sealed lead-acid gel battery and a speaker. It mounts under the power supply and radio, so all three elements form a neat, compact desktop set instead of a loose battery and a tangle of cables.
The AD series power supply keeps the battery charged, and when mains power fails the base station automatically switches to battery power – communication in the fire station, dispatch room or crisis headquarters keeps working. The 8 Ω / 3 W speaker on the front of the module improves audibility and allows the radio to be used hands-free. The module works with AD power supplies in the versions for Hytera, Motorola and the universal version.
